Agnese Dāvidsone, PhD, is assistant professor at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, dean of the Faculty of Society and Science, director of Communication, Media and Governance study field, and HESPI researcher. Her research interests include media and digital literacy, civic participation, as well as innovations in education and teacher agency. She teaches study courses on journalism, media sociology, civil society and participation, and Latvian media environment. Her articles have appeared in various scholarly journals indexed in SCOPUS and WoS databases. She was awarded a PhD from the University of Tartu in 2017. She is an expert of Latvian Council of Science in Communication Science and member of the Media Policy Advisory Board at the Ministry of Culture of Latvia.
